DAAN VERBRUGGEN 

Daan Verbruggen is one of the first certified fishing guides in the Netherlands. His background lies in carp fishing, but he changed to lure fishing, in which he found the challenges he missed in his earlier ‘fishing life’. Daan is a master of all techniques, but he prefers fishing for zander. In a short period of time he made a name as a very successful competitive fisherman, winning a number of very important tournaments including the Dutch Zander Championship. But Daan surely likes to fish also for pike and perch.

Daan is a pro for Berkley. He is regularly active at trade shows, where he gives workshops and lectures. He is also active as a product developer. Besides these activities, Daan spends almost every day on the water, where he tries to share his experience as a zander fisherman, onboard his Lund 1875 Pro-V Bass. He hardly ever blanks when he is targeting zander.

Home Base: Purmerend / Amsterdam
Location: Gooimeer, Noordzeekanaal, the Nieuwe Meer, Alkmaardermeer. Rest of the country on request.
Boat: Fully equipped Lund 1875 Pro-V Bass (max. three persons).
Techniques: Zander: vertical jigging, dropshotting, trolling, float fishing with natural baits.
Tackle: Rods, spinning and casting reels and lures onboard for clients to use.
Extra: Special requests after consultation.
